Top Trick-Performing Birds

in the United States
Squawk, a blue-crowned conure & Cassie, a black-headed caique can perform more tricks than any other bird in the country.

Why are they the champions? Each bird can do over 100 tricks, on cue, on a stage, in front of an audience.

Cassie and Squawk Check out the series of four videos by Tani Robar - their owner & trainer - that show how many of their tricks were taught. These tricks are easy to teach and the videos show just how to teach them.

Certain behaviors - called innovative behaviors - such as hopping, scratching their head, or lying on their back are examples of behaviors your bird already does. The fun is teaching your favorite avian to do them on cue.
